Game Mechanic
FEATURES:
Ray Gun, powered by energy cells that deploy more or less power depending on how long the trigger is pressed.
Game environment Interactable.
Haptic feedback according to the intensity of the shot's "charging."
Flying platforms that oscillate at a random rhythm.
Animation of shots, energy cell distribution, and the "brain in a jar."
Animated shaders: liquid in the jar, dials, buttons (among others).
The brain's eyes follow the player's slightest movement.
Spatialized sounds.
AI:
Random movement within a defined area.
Always aims at the player's position.
Probability of dodging incoming shots.
Fires at a random rhythm.
WORKFLOW:
Prototyping in Unreal Engine and with pencil and paper.
Modeling and UV mapping in Maya 2020 (optimizing polygon count and UVs).
Texture creation in Substance Painter, Sampler, and Photoshop.
Animation in Maya 2020.
Sound editing in Adobe Audition and Audacity.
Integration into Unreal Engine (shaders, particle system, blueprints, interface, lighting, sounds).
Optimization.
